The Historic Preservation Commission on Oct. 23 acknowledged the resignation of Taylor Stewart, who moved to Birmingham, creating a vacancy in the vice chair position. Commissioner (speaker 2) nominated Miss Fritz for vice chair. Fritz said, "I'm ready, willing, and able," and the commission voted unanimously to elect her.

Chair and commissioners also discussed scheduling for the November/December meetings and agreed to retain the Dec. 11 meeting date to maximize the likelihood of a quorum.
