The Monitoring Council used the Nov. 20 quarterly meeting to receive internal business updates and to agree on several administrative steps. Laurie Weber (council director) reported that the equity work group has been updating its charter and web resources and requested council members confirm liaisons and increase participation. The group recommended adding a standing equity item to the council’s quarterly agenda; council members signaled support for adding the standing item.

Weber also announced proposed quarterly meeting dates for 2026: Feb. 26 (tentative), May 28, Aug. 27 and Nov. 19, and invited members to suggest agenda topics. Suggested future topics mentioned during the meeting included ocean health report cards, nutrient monitoring and modeling, and continued discussion of post‑fire monitoring.
