Nikki Thompson, procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners, opened a public bid opening and said the county received four bids for the Glynn County Health Department Dental Clinic renovation (IFB 26-020 as read at the opening). "We received 4 bids," Thompson said.
Thompson read the names of the bidders and their dollar amounts: Othamaha Building Solutions or Building Systems of Sernsey, Georgia — $334,900.00; MD McDonald Construction Company of Brunswick, Georgia — $478,685.00; Overholt Construction of Jessup, Georgia — $475,950.00; and UGMS General Contracting of Glenville, Georgia — $477,400.00. Thompson said all paperwork will be reviewed by procurement staff and the project manager for accuracy and completion.
"The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive technicalities and make an award in the best interest of Glynn County," Thompson said, noting the county will post a bid tabulation sheet on the county website. She said the recommended award will be presented to the Finance Committee and then to the full Board at the next scheduled monthly meeting; no award was announced at the opening.
Thompson provided a contact for follow-up and public records requests: nikki.thompson@glynncounty-ga.gov, and said procurement materials will be available through the Glynn County procurement page. The county did not announce a timeline for final award during the opening.
The bid opening itself was a procedural, publicly held event intended to list received offers and document the procurement process. Any questions about the bids or to request the posted tabulation should be directed to Thompson via the email she provided.
