The Village of South Russell Council unanimously confirmed a slate of board and commission appointments during its Nov. 24 meeting.

Mayor opened the mayor’s report and asked the council to confirm members whose terms had ended. The council approved the appointment of Gary Neola to the Architecture Review Board and Lisa Rudolph to the Planning Commission. The mayor described the Architecture Review Board seats as paid positions with three-year terms and said most other committee positions are volunteer roles; the Planning Commission appointment carries a six-year term. Additional appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals and park committee were also moved and affirmed without objection.

Councilors voted on each confirmation after motion and second. No council member opposed the appointments.

The mayor also thanked volunteers and local media for coverage of recent veterans and community events.

Next steps: the confirmed appointees will begin their terms on Jan. 1, 2026, where specified.
