The board unanimously voted to open a superintendent search and named a committee chair to lead the process. Board Member Judkins moved to open the search and the motion passed by voice vote. The board appointed Board Member Sasser as chair of the superintendent search committee and discussed outreach plans and timelines for candidate submissions.

Separately, the board appointed Board Member Strong as chair of a naming committee tasked with soliciting names for the new district. Vice President Isaacson outlined a compressed timeline: a public naming form will be posted starting Dec. 1, remain open for two weeks through Dec. 12, after which a committee of board members and parents will select 3–4 options to present to the board at the Dec. 15 meeting for action.
