The Story County Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 26-36 on Nov. 25, authorizing the End Of The Trail residential parcel subdivision, which reconfigures an assessed 2.21-net-acre property on 630th Avenue in Warren Township into two separate lots.
County staff (Leanne) explained the application began as a code enforcement case, went through a variance process and completed interagency review. Staff said both proposed lots meet the A-1 agricultural zone minimum of one net acre; proposed lot 1 would be 1.10 net acres and proposed lot 2 would be 1.21 net acres. Staff also listed local service districts and utilities associated with the property, including Story County Ambulance, McCallsburg Fire, Midland Power Cooperative and the school district shown on the staff slide.
Staff reported public notices were mailed Nov. 17 and that no public feedback had been received. During board discussion, a commissioner asked when the second house on the property was constructed; staff replied it had been placed recently and would be addressed through permitting. A motion to approve Resolution 26-36 was moved and seconded and the board voted in the affirmative.
The resolution approves the subdivision plat subject to compliance with standard county permitting and recording procedures.
