Representatives from Pathways Credit Union presented a $3,000 donation to Seven Hills’ Shop with a Cop program during the council’s opening recognitions.
Mayor Anthony Villasci (identified in the transcript as the mayor) introduced Nicole Shelby and Dan Summers from the credit union and invited Summers to explain the gift. Summers said Pathways recently acquired several local credit unions and wants to be active in Cleveland-area communities, including Seven Hills. "We hope that this goes a long way and that we can continue this partnership and be able to make donations on a regular basis to the city and help with whatever needs to be taken care of," Summers said.
Council members and the mayor thanked the credit union for the contribution. The donation was displayed to the room and acknowledged as supporting the Shop with a Cop holiday program, which pairs police officers with children for holiday shopping events.
No formal council action was required for the donation, which was presented as a ceremonial recognition. The city said it will continue to work with local business partners on seasonal events and programs.
