Vice Mayor Whitman promoted a vulnerability assessment study meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Island Multi‑Purpose Center to discuss potential flooding impacts on Davie's critical assets, and promoted a holiday craft fair at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds (weekend, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., admission free). A council member reported a ribbon cutting for new turf fields at Pine Island (Bamford) park and thanked Parks & Rec and Public Works for their work.
In personnel news, Mister Lemack announced that Assistant Town Clerk Jillian Brewster had been accepted into the Florida Certified Professional Clerk (FCPC) program at Florida State University's Institute of Government. The speaker noted the program accepts 30 participants statewide and is distinct from other municipal clerk certifications.
