The Pulaski County fiscal court approved two separate financial steps: advertising a first reading of a $600,000 budget amendment that will serve as a passthrough for a Lake Cumberland ad district senior-housing project, and approving a resolution and agreement for $561,000 in flex funding intended for road/asphalt work.
The presiding official described the senior-housing item as a passthrough arrangement with a Lake Cumberland ad district and a developer group from Northern Kentucky that will convert apartments into senior housing. "First reading of the amending the budget for $600,000," the presiding official said; the court voted to advertise the first reading so the matter can return for a second reading and final approval at a subsequent meeting.
Separately, the court approved by voice vote a resolution and associated agreement for $561,000 in flex funding related to road work. The presiding official said the county identified an additional $51,000 in asphalt funding beyond an earlier figure; the court moved and approved both the resolution and the accompanying agreement.
Both actions were processed as initial or enabling steps: the budget amendment was advertised for first reading and the flex-funding resolution and agreement were approved in the meeting record.
