Stacy Raker, speaking "in place of Bridal Martin," told the Ways and Means Committee the county completed its tax sale on Nov. 10 and provided counts from the sale.

"We did just complete our tax sale, on November 10. We had 16 tax buyers," Raker said. She reported that 2,101 real estate parcels were placed in the sale; of those, 1,514 "went to tax buyers" and 587 went to the trustee. Raker said staff are preparing the final distribution on Dec. 4 and that interest distribution will follow the next week.

No committee action was requested on the tax-sale report; it was presented as an informational update to the committee.
