Board members received an update on the MidAmerican Energy Shenandoah Hills wind project.

Kelsey, speaking for the project team, said turbines have been erected and some are already spinning. She described the current work as closeout activity: moving equipment and trailers off the laydown yard, completing restoration and working with landowners on final items. Kelsey said commissioning and full generation remain expected before the end of the year.

Board members asked about a transformer that had not yet arrived. Kelsey said the transformer was still in Kansas City and that project staff would monitor weather and provide a date when it moves into Page County. She said the project team also evaluates reclaimed gravel from construction access roads for reuse first on project access roads and then in coordination with the county engineer or landowners if other uses are appropriate.

Kelsey closed the update by saying she would follow up with additional details about the transformer’s arrival and thanked the board; no formal board action was taken on the project update.
