San Bernardino County used the episode to promote several seasonal events and free county activities for families.
The county said the Big Bear Alpine Zoo is hosting an immersive holiday light walk featuring nearly 2,000,000 lights, open Wednesdays through Sundays from 5 to 9 p.m. through Jan. 4; tickets are available at bigbearzoo.org. Cucamonga Guasti Regional Park's holiday walk was announced as operating on weekends through Dec. 21 and nightly from Dec. 22 through Dec. 30, with more than 100 holiday displays, arts and crafts, free cocoa and apple cider; the host said Santa will be on site Dec. 20. Admission at the park is $20 per vehicle and leashed pets are welcome.
The episode also promoted the Very Merry Merced Christmas Open House at the Maria Merced Williams and John Raines House on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m., including guided tours, live music, a craft corner and seasonal treats; admission is free. County library branches will host free holiday-themed activities and crafts for families; the county advised visiting library.sbcounty.gov for details.
