Wilson County commissioners voted to accept the results of the Nov. 4 constitutional amendment election during a brief meeting and heard state-level tallies read aloud.
The presiding officer called for a motion on agenda item No. 4. An unidentified speaker moved "that we accept the results for the November 4 constitutional amendment election as presented to us," and the motion was seconded. "Motion made by commissioner Akins, seconded by commissioner Perdola," the presiding officer said. With no further discussion, the presiding officer called for a voice vote; "Aye" was recorded and the presiding officer declared the motion passed.
Following the vote, Olga read the summary report of state totals aloud. She stated she would "be doing just the state totaling" and read counts for several propositions, including "State proposition 3 ... for 4,679 against 1,320," and additional tallies for State propositions 4, 6, 14, 15 and 17 as presented to the court.
Before adjourning, the presiding officer asked whether there were documents the court needed to sign; participants referenced previous-year practice. An initial motion to adjourn was briefly rescinded after a procedural pause, and a subsequent motion "made by commissioner King, seconded by commissioner Perdola" carried by voice vote. The presiding officer declared, "We are adjourned, and it is 09:07."
