The Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School Committee handled routine business and several formal actions at the meeting.
The committee approved minutes from its Oct. 20 meeting after a motion and second. The treasurer presented a motion to waive the reading of the warrant (the motion carried; one 'No' was recorded during the roll‑call on that waiver). The board approved expenditures totaling $6,090,140.55 after a motion and roll‑call vote.
The superintendent announced that Gregory Haas has been competitively selected for a Fulbright Leaders for Global Schools fellowship in Finland from Jan. 18 to Feb. 1. Administration emphasized the fellowship would require eight professional development days and is "absolutely no cost to the district." The committee moved, seconded and approved the out‑of‑state travel for Haas.
The business manager presented a short list of budget transfers to cover departmental overages; the committee approved the transfers. The board also approved a motion to dispose of a 2022 paint hood and cabinet—either by auction or by offering it to sending schools—after finding the equipment was not suitable for the program that purchased it. A separate solar proposal for the back parking lot was withdrawn from the agenda after financial review.
There were no ordinance, contract awards, or long‑range commitments approved at the meeting; the actions taken were procedural and operational. The meeting concluded with recognition of student work and a motion to adjourn.
