Henderson County Commissioners Court cleared a slate of routine items in unanimous votes at its Thanksgiving‑week meeting, approving refunds, audits, procurement and other administrative matters.
The court approved two tax refund checks totaling $62,086.84 as requested by the tax assessor. It accepted Emergency Service District No. 5 financial audits for 2021–2023 for filing purposes only, with staff noting the audits bring the district into compliance and that additional ESD audits remain in process.
On procurement and equipment, the court authorized financing for a replacement backhoe for Precinct 2 through Welch Bank; staff said a $55,000 down payment would be made with two further payments following. The court also approved a three‑year contract with Mitra Tech for HotDoc services used in CPS case administration at $4,500 per year.
The court approved right‑of‑way agreements for Brightspeed to bore underground fiber and conduit at two locations on East Waller Road in Precinct 1 (about 170 feet total) and authorized Moore Station Water Supply Company to repair a leak at 8420 County Road 3418.
Other routine approvals included elections payrolls, the accounts cash sheet for the period ending Sept. 25, payment of fiscal year 2025 bills totaling $246,707.80, and a replat in the Waterwoods Subdivision creating Lots 2A and 4A in Precinct 4. The court recorded unanimous votes on each motion and adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
