Actions taken by voice vote or unanimous motion included approval of Nov. 3 meeting minutes and authorization to approve claims and payroll for the period presented. The board appointed Dave Hicks to the EMA Advisory Council to complete the remainder of 2025 and serve the subsequent one-year term, filling the vacancy left by Wally Bennett.
Prosecutor Noah Schafer requested permission to rehire a fully funded 4D caseworker after a resignation; a commissioner moved, seconded and the board approved rehiring for that position.
Sheriff’s office staff provided October activity counts (arrests, patrol miles, crashes, jail population and animal-control calls) and asked the board to declare a 2021 Chevy Silverado (VIN ending 1643) surplus; the board approved the surplus declaration.
IT director CJ summarized multiple IT projects — including a planned rollout of 62 replacement computers (Dell selected), an email migration with Elevate Technologies, scanning and data migration work and door-system installs — and sought authorization to sign a Kaseya contract; the board authorized execution of that contract. CJ also presented a revised Civic Plus live-streaming agreement (with a modest price increase) and the board approved that agreement by motion and voice vote.
No formal votes were taken on departmental reports (parks, broadband, EMS, maintenance, community corrections); those items were presented for information and will return as needed for future action.
