The board approved the claims by voice vote.
Nolan Wilhite, president of the Downtown Lafayette Business Owners Association, asked the board to approve street closures for the Merry Main Street Market on Dec. 13; he asked that the market run 2–7 p.m. and requested the road from 5th to 9th on Main Street be closed 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Neighbor notification had been completed, and the board approved the request. The board also approved a banner request for the Christmas parade.
