At its Nov. 24 meeting, the Evanston City Council recorded the following outcomes on several agenda items:
- Ordinance 56-O-25 (FY2026 budget): adopted, unanimous.
- Ordinance 57-O-25 (corrected levy): adopted, 6-2 after debate (see separate coverage).
- Package of levies and related ordinances/resolutions (Ordinances 58-O-25 through 64-O-25, 72-O-25; Resolutions 71-R-25 through 86-R-25): adopted on a single motion by recorded roll call (unanimous).
- Ordinance 71-O-25 (waste services and fees): adopted, 7-1.
- Resolution 116-R-25 (protecting the right to protest and facilitating safe assembly): adopted, unanimous.
- Resolution 117-R-25 (condemnation of certain federal immigration enforcement practices and a call for reporting/more oversight): adopted, unanimous.
- Consent items: A2 (BMO Harris Amazon credit card activity) was approved (7-0 with 1 abstention); A13 (Sullivan's small-restaurant sidewalk-cafe layout) was approved (7-0); several consent items were held and considered separately (A20 moved to discussion/have a hold).
