At its Nov. 19 meeting the Northampton License Commission approved several routine, event-related applications for December 2025.
Kayla Sheridan described the Festival of Trees, hosted by the Northampton Rotary on Dec. 13 (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.) at Northampton Volkswagen (361 King Street). The event will feature about 40 decorated trees, raffle fundraising, vendors and a wine-and-malt tasting area located at one dealership; Sheridan confirmed liquor liability insurance is held by the Rotary and agreed to email a copy to staff for the file.
The commission also approved three additional automatic amusement device licenses for Mochinut (three more claw machines) at 96 Main Street after applicant Abby said the machines will reduce wait times for customers and add to the existing two machines.
Separately, Jonathan Pedego and Jake Gibson described two events at 122 Main Street: a medieval tavern on Dec. 6 and a masquerade on Dec. 13, both including live performers and beer, wine and mead service for about 35 attendees. Staff confirmed the required documents were submitted and the commission approved short-term liquor licenses for both dates.
Commissioners approved these items on motion and recorded unanimous affirmative votes by the commissioners present. Staff will confirm receipt of outstanding documents (insurance for the Festival of Trees) and update license files.
