Lake Havasu City Council approved a professional services agreement Tuesday to design stabilization improvements for Pima Wash No. 8.
Public Works staff explained the work will address bank scour and meander issues, and include pedestrian safety improvements at road crossings such as El Dorado Avenue and Bluewater Drive. The negotiated scope with Kimley Horn & Associates includes alternatives analysis, targeted modeling, plan review meetings, survey and preparation of construction documents and estimates. Staff projected the project would be ready for bid in April 2026.
Council member Cameron Moses moved to approve the professional services agreement in the amount of $143,610; the motion was seconded and carried 6‑0.
Staff said they will return with construction procurement and schedule once design and cost estimates are complete.
