The Brimfield Board of Trustees used its Nov. 25 meeting to complete routine business. Trustees tabled approval of earlier meeting minutes due to prior absences, then approved the evening’s agenda and acknowledged purchase orders and warrants after fiscal review.
The fire department reported that collection and delivery of gifts related to the fire truck program will begin in December; trustees approved acceptance of a $200 donation for funeral-related purposes. The police representative noted call totals (2025 trend versus 2024) and promoted a Grinch movie night fundraiser (tickets $10) to benefit Shop with the Cops. Road department staff reported receipt of a 300-ton salt delivery plus an additional 200 tons, completed trenching and patching on Howe Road, and readiness of plow equipment; county 2025 paving and chip-and-seal paperwork was noted as forthcoming.
The fiscal office announced an anticipated group trip to the Ohio Township Association winter conference (Feb. 4–6, 2026) with estimated travel and registration costs of roughly $2,500 and launched a pilot digital financial report on the township website for public review. Trustees moved into executive session under Ohio Revised Code section 121.22(g) to discuss employment matters and then adjourned after returning with no public action reported.
