At the Nov. 25 meeting, township staff asked trustees to schedule three public hearings on proposed amendments to the township zoning code and to renew multiple board appointments.

The board approved scheduling public hearings for amendments to Section 5.10.07 (driveways) and to add or align uses between Section 3.11.02(b) and appendix E; staff proposed hearing times starting at about 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 10 and the trustees approved the schedule. The record shows trustees discussed holding the three hearings on the same morning because each hearing was expected to be brief.

Trustees also voted to renew several appointments to zoning bodies: Bruce Nippenberg was renewed to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a five-year term (2026–2030); Patrick Blair and Anthony Ramos II were renewed as alternates to the Board of Zoning Appeals through 12/31/2026; Tom Sargent was renewed to the Zoning Commission for 2026–2030; and alternates Carl Rickenbach and Robert Renaslovich were renewed through 12/31/2026. Each renewal was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.

Board members stressed that the trustee board does not exercise direct authority over the independent zoning boards and commissions, but noted the importance of these volunteer positions to local land-use governance.
