Kevin Scott took the oath as a township trustee during the Brimfield Board of Trustees meeting on Nov. 25, officials said. Speaker 1 administered the oath, and the record shows Scott’s term of office will be effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Scott introduced family members in the meeting chamber and received copies of the signed oath for township records; one copy will be filed by the fiscal office (Jasmine). Trustees welcomed Scott and emphasized collaboration as the board’s new term begins.

The swearing-in occurred at the start of the meeting and was followed by routine announcements and departmental reports. No vote was required for the oath itself; trustees recorded the administrative paperwork and filing steps following the oath.
