City staff told the Kingman Heritage Commission that, following four proposals, Urbana Preservation and Planning LLC (Prescott) was selected to perform a City historic properties inventory.
Staff said the contract deliverable will be a city-owned documentation and evaluation of up to 100 properties for inclusion on the Arizona Historic Property Inventory. The project budget was described as "not to exceed $33,000," with a planned technical start on Dec. 1, a kickoff meeting on Dec. 4 and an anticipated project conclusion by June 30, 2026.
Staff said Urbana was selected because its proposal provided clear ownership of the work product for the city, showed prior related experience (including a recent Route 66 segment survey), proposed a multi-disciplinary team and offered comprehensive documentation and evaluation approaches.
There was no formal action recorded at the meeting beyond the informational update; staff offered to answer questions and return with additional details if commissioners request them.
