Taco Madres presented its remedial plan and described immediate steps taken after an underage‑service incident. Attorney Scott Jones said the restaurant implemented a "CARE"-style plan (compliance, accountability, responsibility, enforcement), adopted a zero‑tolerance policy for failing to scan IDs at the time of service, and purchased handheld ID scanners for server‑side scanning.
Officer Presley reviewed the incident: door staff had marked an underage cadet with a wristband/hand mark, but the patron was later served at the bar. Jones said the handheld scanners will require scanning at the point of service, which he described as more effective than wristbands or hand marks. The owner confirmed the employee involved was cited and is no longer working in the bar area; the citation was paid. After discussion the Chair chose to take no action at this time, noting the remedial measures implemented by the business.
The board adjourned after the Taco Madres discussion.
