Cobb County Procurement Services read bids Nov. 20 for ITB 266,947, an invitation to bid for an HVAC cooling system at the fire apparatus maintenance shop. Cameron Evler, Senior Procurement Specialist, read vendor names and lump-sum totals and confirmed that bid bonds were included.

Evler recorded the following totals: Rashad A/C and Heating LLC — $299,999.00; Porter Heating and Cooling LLC — $412,325.00; Max Air Mechanical LLC — $421,228.00; Powers Heating and Air LLC — $441,380.24; Smith Mechanical Heating and Air — $579,577.17; and Atlanta City Guys Corp. — $587,608.67.

Evler said the ITB responses are being recorded publicly; the county will review bids for responsiveness and compliance before recommending an award. The read totals are preliminary; award decisions and any contract documents will be posted on the county procurement site after approval.
