Cobb County Procurement Services opened bids Nov. 20 for solicitation B2925, a resurfacing contract identified in the session as Contract 2026-3 for Local Road South. Cameron Evler, Senior Procurement Specialist, read each vendor response and confirmed that bid bonds were included.

Evler read six total prices for B2925. Baldwin Paving Company Inc. submitted $7,564,867.95; C.W. Matthews Contracting Company submitted $7,558,207.30; Bartow Paving Company Inc. submitted $6,862,648.90; Blount Construction Company Inc. submitted $7,243,434.50; Triple R Paving and Construction LLC submitted $6,939,534.11; and Magnum Paving LLC submitted $6,736,303.50. "Bid bond is included," Evler said after each vendor name as the totals were read.

The bids were read as preliminary figures. Evler said the county posts preliminary bid results and, once awards are approved, the final bid awards on its OpenGov portal and procurement website. The county did not announce an award decision at the opening.

The procurement event did not include technical evaluation or scoring for the contract; the bid opening served to publicly record submitted prices and compliance items such as bid bonds. The county set its next regularly scheduled bid opening for Dec. 11, 2025.

The County will evaluate compliance, responsiveness and, where applicable, other procurement criteria before recommending an award to the Board of Commissioners. Preliminary bid totals and the procurement posting are available at www.cobbcounty.gov/procurementservices.
