Finance staff presented the county’s cash-and-investment report during the Nov. 18 meeting, listing fund balances and invested amounts across the general, road, flood control and jail district funds and giving an estimated end-of-month balance.

The presenter listed invested amounts that the transcript records as: general fund invested amount 16,559,123; road fund invested amount 5,121,796; flood control invested amount 308,676; and jail district invested amount 4,399,423. The presenter also reported a total amount and an estimated end-of-month balance; portions of those reported totals are garbled in the meeting transcript (the first general-fund figure appears in the transcript as "22424808¢"). Because that figure is unclear in the transcript, the county's posted finance report should be consulted for an authoritative number.

Board members had no questions following the presentation and thanked staff. The finance presentation was accepted as part of the department updates and is included in the county’s public materials for Nov. 18.
