Akron council honors Ward 1’s Samuel DeShazier with unanimous resolution

Councilman DeShazier spoke briefly, thanking the city and reflecting on his arrival in Akron in 1985 and the community’s history. "You guys got me a little choked up tonight," he said as he thanked colleagues and residents and urged continued collaboration for Akron’s future.
