The Boyertown Area School District board recognized three outgoing members for their service and heard the November student representative report.

President Panarello introduced the recognition showcase, saying "It gives me great pleasure this evening in recognizing 3 Boyertown Area School Board Directors who have given unselfishly of their time and energy to support and guide our schools and the students they serve." The board specifically recognized Ruth Dierolf for 20 years of service and Mary Anne Scott and Jeff Zawada for four years each.

The student representative reported on Veterans Day activities, noting the school "proudly hosted 13 veterans" during celebrations and thanking FBLA officers and staff who supported events; the report also described upcoming student events including a drama production and Impact Day planned for Dec. 4. The student rep emphasized the role of youth advisory work on using survey data to support interventions for alcohol and nicotine use among youth.

Board members offered Thanksgiving wishes and personal remarks to the departing members, and the president announced a board reorganization meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. next Tuesday followed by a committee of the whole.
