The Public Utilities Commission agreed to schedule a commissioners' information meeting (CIM) on Dec. 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. for about 90 minutes, to be organized by the Colorado Electric Transmission Authority (CETA).

Dan Greenberg, advisory staff, said CETA proposed a short agenda including reconductoring’s role in transmission capacity expansion, advanced reconductoring technologies, and the potential use of CETA’s bonding authority to finance transmission projects. Greenberg said the meeting would include brief presentations by Public Service and Tri-State and significant time for commissioner questions. Commissioners expressed support for a concise format and authorized the CIM to be conducted remotely on the recommended date and time.

Commissioners asked staff to keep the session tight and noted it is a timely topic given ongoing transmission planning and capacity discussions in the region.
