- VAAP25-1801 (Rickett property, 21829 Rosebank Court): Approved. Variance granted to disturb the 100-foot critical-area buffer for a deck; mitigation (1,152 sq ft) and a buffer-management plan are required before issuance of a building permit.
- VAAP23-1978 (Booth property, 18833 Hodges Lane): Approved with conditions. The board approved an after-the-fact variance for clearing and an after-the-fact gravel driveway/parking disturbance on condition the applicant move the driveway and parking outside the 100-foot buffer and implement/add native plantings in the central open area (walkway to pier excepted); staff and counsel are to prepare the order within 60 days.
- Wicomico Valley Foundation property order: Board approved prior authorization to disturb the 100-foot buffer for a revetment; board corrected a staff-report unit from square feet to linear feet before signing the order.
- Sloan Gravel Mine (new entrance): Approved (5-0).
Staff noted the Dec. 11 meeting is canceled and the board will meet Dec. 17 to hear two additional critical-area cases.
