Tavares staff seek state grants and local match for culvert work serving Lake Francis Estates

Councilmember Sandy Gamble had requested the update after recent flooding complaints from residents near Lake Francis Estates. Staff recommended the council receive the update and said that, if a grant is awarded, staff would return with proposed sources for the local match and a resolution or appropriation request for council consideration.
Council discussion noted the project has been in planning for several years, that matching funds may be available from reserves subject to council approval, and that staff will bring financing recommendations when the grant is secured.
