Lexington Park, Md. — The Saint Mary's County Police Accountability Board unanimously approved its annual report and a tentative 2026 meeting schedule at its Nov. 20 meeting.

Chair Nick Cromwell asked members whether they had reviewed the draft annual report circulated in advance; one member said they had submitted minor edits digitally. After a motion and second, the chair said the vote to approve the report “as written with the exceptions noted” was unanimous.

Members then reviewed the draft 2026 calendar. Cromwell said coordinator Jillian had selected dates that avoided holiday weeks where possible and asked members whether they preferred changing the Feb. meeting that falls in Presidents Day week. Jillian said room availability will determine whether the Feb. 19 date is moved; members agreed to accept the calendar with the possible Feb. change. Cromwell characterized Jillian’s scheduling work as “outstanding.”

The board also approved the Aug. 21 meeting minutes and the meeting agenda by unanimous voice vote earlier in the session.

Cromwell closed the meeting after the ACC case reviews and adjournment votes; he wished members a festive Thanksgiving and said the board’s next meeting will be Dec. 18.

No financial decisions were made during the session.
