DeKalb County plat committee approves five minor subdivisions, conditions recording on agency sign-offs

The DeKalb County Plan Commission plat committee approved five minor subdivision plats at its Nov. 4, 2025 meeting, voting unanimously to accept the primary and secondary plats for petitions 25-31 through 25-35 and attaching standard conditions that require written evidence of compliance with county agencies before any plat may be recorded.

The committee considered each petition in turn. Petition 25-31, Langston Section 3 (applicants listed in the packet as "Steve a and Shellya leans"), proposes a two-lot subdivision totaling 6.55 gross acres for single-family use at the northeast corner of County Road 32 and County Road 3 in Corona. Staff reported both lots meet the Unified Development Ordinance minimums (each proposed at 3 net acres), that proposed lot widths and frontage exceed minimum standards, and that the plat shows a 30-foot right-of-way dedication.
