At the Nov. 19 meeting, commissioners discussed the Planning Commission seat on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and voted to reappoint Jancy Vincent as the commission's representative.
Commissioner (Speaker 3) said she would continue serving, adding, "I'm enjoying it... I can attend the meetings." The commission considered the role: staff explained the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee is state mandated and develops recommendations to increase affordable housing; it requires one sitting Planning Commission member and sometimes provides items or updates to the Planning Commission.
Commissioner (Speaker 2) moved to reappoint Jancy Vincent; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff reminded commissioners that if multiple commissioners attend advisory‑committee meetings and engage in back‑and‑forth about matters reasonably foreseeable to return to Planning Commission, they should notify staff so the attendance can be noticed to comply with sunshine requirements.
Other routine business at the meeting included approval of the minutes and an attendance report; staff announced there would be no December meeting because there are no pending items. No members of the public spoke during the meeting.
