The plan allocates funds for expansion of warm‑handoff programs and recovery services, including partial funding for three case managers and ER nurse‑manager time, education and awareness training (noted as a $5,000 allocation), mobile intervention support and other outreach activities. Staff said the county had started implementation late and some funds roll over.
Additionally, staff reported a regional meeting with NWF that yielded a separate funding stream: staff said roughly $700,000 is expected in the first year of a regional opioid‑recovery allocation that will be disbursed directly to providers but requires Taylor County to approve which providers receive that money. Staff said providers are developing a core network to ensure coordinated access to services.
