Opponents or cautious members raised timing concerns. They argued the presentation might be premature until the comprehensive-plan recommendations are completed and cautioned against suggesting the county can commit tax incentives or other financial support without first establishing policy and budget availability. Supervisors suggested asking the developer to reach out to multiple developers (including out-of-county firms) and to coordinate with planning staff so the comprehensive-plan team hears the same material.
