Bremer County supervisors approve two transfers to bolster secondary roads, discuss FY27 budget timing

Bremer County supervisors voted to move two budget transfers to shore up the secondary roads fund and discussed timing changes for the fiscal year 2027 budget process.

At the meeting, the board approved a resolution to transfer $269,060 to the county secondary roads account. The motion was moved by Bob and seconded by Corey; supervisors approved the transfer by voice vote. The board then approved a separate transfer of $1,079,719 from the rural basic fund into the secondary roads fund, again moved by Corey and seconded by Bob, and carried without recorded opposition.
