Board advances ordinances to abolish Cultural Arts Development and Special Events commissions

Staff told trustees the Special Events Commission, established in 2006 to assist with village events, had been consulted and was in agreement with the proposed change. The committee recommended approval; the Village Board held first readings of both ordinances on Nov. 3.
