The Urbana City Council adopted Resolution 2025-11-090R, estimating the city—s tax levy for fiscal year 2025–26, at its Nov. 17 meeting and approved two sets of minutes, the council announced.
Council member Grace Wilkin, speaking on behalf of the Committee of the Whole, presented the resolution and Council member Mary Alice seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll; council members present responded affirmatively and the presiding official announced the resolution was adopted.
The council also approved minutes for a Oct. 20, 2025 special meeting and the Oct. 27 council meeting in a combined motion moved by Council member Mary Alice and seconded by Charice, with the clerk conducting a roll call that produced affirmative votes for the motion.
Council member Grace Wilkin flagged a minor issue in the minutes during consideration, saying that "page 6 of 7 had just like a YouTube link in it" and asked whether that link should be removed or clarified before finalization. The council proceeded to adopt the minutes with that item noted for follow-up.
There were no presentations and no members of the public came forward to speak; the council also reported no emails. With no further business before the body, the meeting was adjourned and the council moved into the Committee of the Whole.
