Alumnus pitches Tinley Titan Toss fundraiser to fund scholarships for graduates

Tim, an alumnus of Tinley Park High School, asked the board to help publicize the Tinley Titan Toss beanbag tournament on Nov. 29 at North of Maple Kitchen and Bar. The event is organized by the Tinley Park High School Alumni Scholarship Committee and raises money for scholarships for graduating seniors who plan to attend college or trade school. Tim said the committee has raised more than $6,000 in two years and provided examples of programs and schools helped by previous scholarships.
He encouraged early online registration at the alumni scholarship website and invited board members and residents to take flyers and attend. Trustees thanked him for the effort and noted the fundraiser supports local students.
