The Tinley Park Village Board on Nov. 4 adopted Ordinance 2025-O-038 granting a special use to allow an adult day-care facility in the former American Freight inline commercial space at 16050 Harlem Avenue.
Trustee Michael G. Mueller moved the ordinance. The staff report noted the Plan Commission held a public hearing on Oct. 16 and recommended approval by a 6–0 vote. Trustees discussed the matter briefly and the clerk called the roll; votes recorded in the transcript show approval by the board. The ordinance was adopted and is eligible for implementation under the terms outlined in the staff report.
The ordinance changes the permitted use for that inline commercial space to include an adult day-care facility in the B-3 PUD zoning district; the record does not include additional permitting conditions beyond those listed in the staff report.
