Tinley Park confirms three internal hires in community development and finance

Michael Coleman was appointed community development director effective Nov. 5, 2025. Trustees praised Coleman’s local residency and his work overseeing building and planning functions while serving as interim director. The board moved, seconded and approved the appointment by roll call.
Lisa Beck was appointed assistant to the community development director; trustees noted her operational experience and oversight of day-to-day building-permit activities. The board voted to approve the promotion.
Mitchell Edwards was appointed staff accountant; the board cited his four years of accounting experience and that he is pursuing a master’s in business administration. Trustees moved, seconded and approved the appointment by roll call.
All three appointments were approved by the board during the meeting’s consent/appointment items and require routine onboarding steps within village administration.
