Tinley Park board approves several internal promotions and tables job-fair agreement

Tinley Park trustees on Nov. 18 approved a slate of internal appointments and took procedural action on the consent agenda.
The board approved the internal promotion of Brian to Streets Foreman effective Nov. 19, 2025; staff highlighted Brian's three years with the Public Works Water and Sewer Division and recommended the promotion. The board also approved appointments for Matthew Brennan to maintenance technician (effective Nov. 24, 2025), Tyler Lorenda to maintenance technician (effective Nov. 19, 2025) and Janice to building permit coordinator (effective Nov. 19, 2025). Each appointment was considered by motion and recorded as carried on roll call.
On the consent agenda the board moved to approve all items except 8(b), which Trustee Tiffany recommended be tabled because the intergovernmental agreement packet needed updating: Orland Township had joined the planned Southwest job fair in addition to Tinley Park and Orland Park, so the recorded agreement must be revised before approval. The board approved the consent agenda with item 8(b) tabled pending an updated agreement.
The board then recessed into public comment and continued with other agenda items. No compensation changes or salary schedules were adopted during the session; the board later moved to adjourn to executive session to discuss collective negotiating matters.
