The Lake County Community Redevelopment Agency board approved a commercial facade improvement grant to WLW Construction on a voice vote during its meeting. Meg Brew, director for the Office of Economic Development, said the company proposes to install a monument sign on Sorrento Avenue and that the application packet was complete.
"Should you choose to approve this application, the estimated fiscal impact is $10,164 which is within and will not exceed the fiscal year 26 CRA budget," Brew said. She also confirmed the program requires three quotes for projects.
The board voted by voice after an unnamed commissioner moved to approve the application and a second was recorded. Brew told the board this is the second approved project under the commercial facade improvement program; an earlier approval for the Eastlake Chamber of Commerce sign remains incomplete.
The grant award funds will be charged to the FY26 CRA budget, and Brew said supporting documents and program information were included in the agenda packet. The board took no additional direction for staff and did not set further conditions on the award.
The CRA then moved to the next regular agenda item.
