The administrator said many grants are reimbursement‑based and that these rollovers are routine year‑end accounting moves.
On procurement, staff asked permission to enter a three‑year service order with NEOGOV for human resources systems at $129,704, noting roughly $61,000 is already in the current contract. The board also authorized staff to begin negotiations with Jacobs for professional services related to the county’s septic‑to‑sewer program and approved a Jacobs task order request for design work on a larger MIP wastewater upgrade ($378,400) as a future consent item.
Economic development requests include staff authorization to submit Florida Commerce Job Growth Grant applications: $1.9 million for Santa Rosa Industrial Park East Phase 2 and $2.2 million for the Gateway Logistics Center (Baghdad Industrial Park Phase 1). Other routine items moved to consent included multiple change orders, task orders, equipment purchases, right‑of‑way dedications and maintenance acceptances across road, bridge and beach projects.
What’s next: The items were placed on Thursday’s consent agenda for formal action; the board made no final approvals at this meeting beyond the motion to move items forward.
