Osceola County board approves consent agenda; Booth records dissents on two items

During the Nov. 17 meeting, the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners approved the consent agenda with several adjustments and recorded a dissent from Commissioner Booth on select items.
County Manager reported an amendment to consent agenda item 5 (a revised MOU with Orlando Sports Enterprises / Orlando City Soccer / Orlando Pride) requiring hotel building permits to be issued by Dec. 31, 2028. The board then moved to approve the consent agenda (items 1–16); Commissioner Grieve made the motion and Commissioner Chaudhry seconded.
Commissioner Booth told the board he objected to consent item 7 and asked that the record show a 'no' vote on that item without pulling it for discussion: "I just wanna state my objection to number 7." The chair allowed Booth's dissent to be recorded. Later the board handled consent public hearing items and amended the motion to approve items 17–24 while leaving item 25 and others removed for separate discussion; the record notes Booth was 'no' on item 17.
All other consent items that remained on the motion were approved by the board at the time of the vote. Item 25 was later taken up and continued for further study.
