City staff reviewed the consent agenda scheduled for the regular council meeting. Items presented included an award to Precision Truck Center for an engine rebuild on a ladder truck (amount listed in the packet as $28,454.54) and a $516,142.58 contract to PTPR Construction for the 2025 roadway resurfacing program in the Manningdale Subdivision. Staff said a compact electric sweeper from Brown Equipment Company for $342,523 is budgeted for downtown and the parking deck and qualifies for a $100,000 reimbursable grant.
Water‑system items on the consent agenda included a $267,550 award to PT Farrell Construction for district meter area chamber vaults; that project will add 23 meters to create 12 metered zones to help locate water loss. Change order #1 to Pipe View America for 2025 sanitary sewer cleaning and inspection adds $82,779.94, covering balancing of quantities and televising work in the Southeast Joliet Sanitary District; the county will reimburse the city for that scope, staff said.
A business continuity grant award of $63,733.50 to Cut 158 Incorporated was also recommended; staff said this is the last tranche tied to reopening Chicago Street. Staff provided a list of small grants under $25,000 upon request and noted that awards under $25,000 do not require council review.
None of these items were voted on at the pre-council; they appear on the consent agenda for the upcoming regular meeting.
