The Johnson County Board of Commissioners cleared a range of routine business on Dec. 1, approving consent-agenda items, contract awards and appointments.
Items approved on the consent agenda included annual agreements, an extension office services contract, grant applications and minutes from the Nov. 17 regular meeting. The board also ratified support letters for the Highway/Indianapolis MPO projects listed on the agenda.
The board adopted an amendment to the county code (Surveyor ordinance 2025-014) to allow the Drainage Board to accept watershed determinations by resolution and to incorporate those determinations into the technical manual; Greg Cantwell, identified as Johnson County surveyor, explained the amendment would prevent the need to rewrite the ordinance for recurring updates.
The county clerk's master software and services agreement with No Inc LLC (software name referenced as lisonbee) was approved. The board also accepted a quote and awarded a generator inspection and service contract to DWI Power Systems for $10,500, consistent with IC 36-1-12-5. Appointments to the Emergency Management Advisory Council for 2026 were also approved.
Most items were handled by motion and voice vote with no extended debate recorded. The transcript does not record roll-call vote tallies by name for these items.
